Harrison Ford on Flying

Just the other day, I spent a few hours shooting video at Van Nuys Airport for a story we're producing at AeroChannel.com

It's one of the busiest general aviation airports in the world. Every day, hundreds of planes takeoff or land on one of the two runways. I got a ride to the end of the famed 16R runway by two airport police officers. I mounted the camera on a tripod and recorded some 10 minutes of planes and helicopters.

Van Nuys is used by many Hollywood Stars. Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kanye West and many more frequently use the airport. As we drove past one of the huge hangars near the runways, I was told actor Harrison Ford once kept his De Havilland Beaver single engine plane at the site.

Back at the office, I was intrigued and did a search on the internet to find more information about Harrison Ford, the pilot. I came across a video of Ford flying his De Havilland.
