Current major airport delays (as of 11:23 PM EDT)

Thunderstorms are spreading across the nation today, with the biggest impact being felt in North Carolina, the Virginias, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Smaller cells are also developing in the Southwest, Texas, and on the Plains. Clear skies continue to dominate in the Far West and the Northeast.

Below are the current major airport delays:

• La Guardia (LGA) * -- Due to volume, departures from LGA are experiencing delays of 15 min. to 29 min.
• John F. Kennedy Int'l (JFK) * -- Due to volume, departures are experiencing delays of  31 min. to 45 min. and increasing.
• Newark Int'l Airport (EWR) -- Due to volume, departures are experiencing delays up to 1hr.     15 min. and increasing.
• William B Hartsfield International Airport (ATL) -- Due to volume, departure are experiencing delays of 16 min. to 30 min.
