Video Report: Emirates A380 at LAX
The Emirates Airbus A380 superjumbo made its Southern California debut at Los Angeles International Airport in October, as the airline showed off its latest -- and largest -- acquisition.
Their new aircraft can carry 489 passengers: 14 in its first-class private “suites”, 76 in business class, and 399 in economy class.
The A380 is now operating on Emirates’ flights from New York JFK to Dubai. The airline will begin service to Los Angeles and San Francisco this fall with its Boeing 777-200LR jets.
Emirates began operations in 1985, and has grown to serve 101 destinations in 62 countries from its base in Dubai.
