Some airline officials are scratching their heads in Tampa over an unusual dent that appeared on the nose cone of a Northwest Airlines Boeing 757. Airport personnel saw that the nose cone was crumpled, after the plane landed safely on Sunday. They first suspected a bird may have caused the damage.

Today, the bird theory has been thrown out and they are considering other possible scenarios. The pilots on the jetliner apparently heard a loud bang when flying at 18,000 feet on approach to the airport in Tampa.

One possible theory to consider is the new superhero "Hancock," who has been bumping into things ever since he took to the skies at the movies this past weekend.

Well, discounting a fantasy character, Federal Officials are conducting an investigation and hope to resolve the mystery in the weeks to come. To read the full story and see a picture of the dent, go to this StarTribune news link: Dented Jet
